My life just changed When two hearts became one Everything went smooth for a while As it usely does In a certain time Like every fairytale you’ve heard Happy endings Lovely songs But first... You need to conquer the world To feel safe Consider yourself first Don’t let others make you feel worse These golden words I once heard But now my fingers feel burned You need certainty To confirm your shivering mind And feel totally combined ‘Cause nothing is black and white When you start to search under the surface It’s not like fairytales you’ve heard Your evil side May take over When you push yourself aside For another’s pride Consider yourself first Don’t let others make you feel worse These golden words I once heard But now my fingers feel burned But now… Uhhh… Consider yourself first Don’t let others make you feel worse These golden words I once heard But now my fingers feel burned But now… But now my fingers feel burned Uhhh… ‘Cause now My fingers Feel… Burned

When wiping away your tears Made me think of my own fears I recall a moment When I broke down Remember the sound I found Inside my head Replacing fears With silence instead Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in I know your pain within Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in ‘Cause there’s a hope Left where we’ve been When seeking a faceless sound Made my reckless heart turn around To refind the meaning Of loving arms Facing the moment of reality With a stressful mind Leaving time behind Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in I know your pain within Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in ‘Cause there’s a hope Left where we’ve been Ahhh…. Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in I know your pain within Please, don’t give up Please, don’t give in ‘Cause there’s a hope Left where we’ve been Left where we’ve been…

I try to Like no one else To understand you Like no one else Though we’re stranding on different shores There isn’t no There isn’t far between us ‘Cause it’s all a matter of trying to let go And it’s all a matter of daring to show It’s all a matter of trying to keep low And it’s all a matter of daring to get close You try to Like no one else To see me Like no one else And though it’s hard To let your heart To let your decide ‘Cause it’s all a matter of trying to let go And it’s all a matter of daring to show It’s all a matter of trying to keep low And it’s all a matter of daring to get close ‘Cause the heart is complicated place But if you open up You won’t miss a thing When it comes to the end It’s quite simple ‘Cause it will always bleed And it will always glow But there is one There is one Who can make it stop Who can make it stop So do… Yeah, do you dare To take the chance

Close to death I was With pain so grey like You want - though it’s never too late (you said) Waiting down...
We used to feel like one Hear me pray, be safe
The waste is too great We were the ones - You had me before Before the light went down like Youth and the presence of more And everything I came from - was torn Hold me... With words to crawl Haven`t you seen - it all - ways to fall You have just what it takes Be courageoush enough to say It like it is - I had it again... We were the ones - You had me before Before the light went down like Youth and the presence of more And everything will be past – past once more Uhhhh uhhhh uhhhh It seemed to be more Than I could handle And truth as before Brought me down like I would... Down like I could Down like I should have known...

The past is too late Don’t be afraid – let go now I thought I was ment to be lonely But now I don’t know what is right Caught in gaze from my life Hold me tight When I fall and lose sight (of my life) Calm my heart When it breaks and fall(s) apart Hold me close And don’t ever let go The home I need Never felt all complete Lost between tides Searching to find – hold on now My ground is a meandering river And now I was lost to be found Bridge In a dream and a sound… Hold me tight ‘Cause I will fall and lose sight (of my life) Calm my heart It will break and fall apart Hold me close I promise I won’t let go Hiding from truth Was a trace of my youth Uhhh… Ahhh…

Be the patient call When someone cries Hoping that you’ll see What’s left behind And I know you fight yourself To lose the grief Of hopeless promises You’ll never keep At once… Lonely tears will fall It’s not too late If we just had what it takes It’s still the same ‘Cause the hours’ ticking by With pace once more And you’ll never find what you’ve Been searching for At once… I feel so small Down the stream we thought was straight I crawl From the natural left behinds Of common flaws ‘Cause in the ashes torn of love I found my faith That night the falling stars Lit up my way At once… I chose to be… the same (at once) I chose to be the same (at once)

The morning sun shows her skin You hear her voice from deep within She sings She moves She flies By her touch She writes the song of life Ahhhhhh…… She keeps you safe when you are weak But still you hurt her with you greed She breaths She turns She cries And with her eyes She breaks your shelter down Ahhhhh……. [Instrumentalt] Ahhhhhh……

about

"(...) we are dealing with a great songwriter who really sings from the heart - a heart that was about to break completely on the way ! Stina's words : "This album is a vulnerable piece of my life because it was created on the basis of the personal journey I have been on for the last 18 years, where a broken dream became the source of me discovering my songwriting in the first place." Stylewise we're in the region of epic Rock that's got a sensitive melancholic tone in it with Stina's absolutely beautiful singing all through!" - Nordsoe Records, DK

With the debut album “The Unknown Dream” the listener is taken on a journey through life's unexpected turns, broken dreams and towards a crossroad with new possibilities appearing. Sometimes it’s only through pain and loneliness you start realizing the need for help and loving arms. This album creates a safe space for grief, uncontrollable loneliness, catches the feeling of falling apart, resonates the longing for being held by comforting arms and leaves you with hopeful uncertainty.

The music brings the listener to relate and reflect on the story through a theatrical soundscape recorded as live-sessions in the studio.

Honest vulnerability characterizes the entire album. The sound is ambient and beautiful - yet raw and somehow dusty - woven together through strong lyrics, instrumental passages and small hymns creating a universe with the nerve from the 70s, the magnificence from the 80s, the production sound from the 90s and pure authenticity. The first 9 songs on the album works as a coherent piece with inspiration from musical references such as; The Savage Rose, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Tina Dickow and Kira Skov.

about

Stina Bekker & The Malachite Moon Odense, Denmark

Stina Bekker started writing songs at the age of 16 after a broken career dream. In 10 years, with more than 300 concerts, she was the front figure in a progressive rock band. During this time she kept writing her own songs - but in solitude. With “The Unknown Dream” she has returned to her roots with a renewed maturity, honest stories to tell and a mission to create a more charitable world. ... more
